If you don't know what web beacons are, here is a quick summary: they're specially coded images that are embedded into emails to validate an e-mail address.
If you don't like this feature and you want to turn it off, follow the instructions below:
- Open Outlook Express
- From the Tools menu, select Options.
- Click the Security tab.
- Uncheck the "Block images and other external content in HTML e-mail." checkbox.
- Press the OK button.
Since you have have uncheck the checkbox, do you see some images and not others? Or all all images still blocked?
ReplyDeleteIf you're seeing some images and not others, the problem might be that the email is referencing an image from the web that is no longer there?
If this doesn't help, answer the first question and I will research it some more.
I'm not Greg but I am having the same problem. I see no images at all and the block images is ubchecked. I used to be able to see them but about a week ago, the red X's appeared.
ReplyDeleteThank you for any help.
