- Open Internet Explorer
- From the Tools menu select 'Internet Options'.
- Click the Programs tab.
- In the E-mail drop-down menu to select the program you want Internet Explorer to use.
- Press the OK button.

I want to use gmail as my email client but that does show up in the list of available email clients under tools/internet options/programs
